Job Summary
Performance Services is responsible for the oversight and analysis of performance, attribution, benchmarks and composites across all asset classes. The Composite Team has oversight responsibilities with respect to the Firm's policies and procedures for compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®) including composite management and analysis.
The Performance Analyst role on the Composite Team works closely with Product Management, Marketing and Compliance to oversee all composites in support of the Firm's marketing efforts. Maintaining tight controls over this critical function is necessary to ensure the Firm remains compliant with GIPS. The Composite Team acts in a consulting manner for questions around composites including construction, investment discretion, and client guideline changes to name a few. The individual will have a seat on the firm's Composite Working Group, whose goal is to review all composite requests for approval. This effort requires the development of an understanding of the various investment approaches offered by the Firm. The individual will also assist in the annual GIPS verification performed by the Firm's external audit firm.
Job Responsibilities
* Responsible for composite construction and membership integrity efforts including review of non-discretionary accounts, monitoring account opening and closings, and evaluating the impact of client guideline changes
* Work with Product Management on composite questions and issues and provide guidance on possible solutions within the framework of GIPS
* Participate in the monthly Composite Working Group meetings by writing and presenting materials for discussion, asking thoughtful questions and delivering recommendations
* Establish and maintain procedures on composite oversight processes and communication of changes and seek opportunities to improve the workflow and/or infrastructure

Knowledge of and the ability to apply GIPS including guidance statements and Q&A put forth by the CFA Institute; evaluate the impact of changes to the standards and make the appropriate recommendations for the Firm's GIPS policies and procedures
*
Manage the annual GIPS verification
