Lead Systems Analyst, Equities, (Excel, VBA,.NET) full time, excellen package!!! in Boston, MA

Keys to this Position

1. This position is 40% Development and 60% Systems Analysis.

2. Technical Requirement: Excel and VBA are required (.NET is a strong plus). RPC Eclipse and OSGI are a plus. Sharepoint, Java and Unix are also a plus.

3. Domain Knowledge Requirement: Must have an understanding of the Investment Process, especially knowledge of Equities, (Derivatives and Market Data (i.e. FactSet) are pluses). Some indications of domain knowledge would be CFA, Financial Statement Analysis, and knowledge of alpha.

4. Strong Client Interfacing skills are required. This individual will be working directly with Investors.

5. This is a Senior Level Individual Contributor role.

Qualifications

* Strong understanding of the investment process, research workflows, equity and derivative securities, and market data services.
* Strong Microsoft Office Application expertise, in particular with Excel and the creation/maintenance of Excel VBA macros.
* Strong SQL skills and prior experience with Oracle/SQL Server tools.
* Hands-on .Net development skills required
* Strong, hands-on knowledge of Sharepoint required
* Prior experience with Java/Unix solutions a strong plus
* 3+ years experience directly supporting investment professionals
* 7+ years of professional experience
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast paced team environment
* Ability to work independently and own projects from beginning to end
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, project plans and milestones effectively.
* Bachelor's degree required
