Job Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include a strong working knowledge of equity, fixed income products and derivative securities, as well as prior experience monitoring investment guidelines and working in an investment compliance role. Prior experience with coding investment restrictions into a vendor or proprietary compliance monitoring system would be a plus. The candidate should be self-confident, energetic, have an inquisitive mind, and be controls conscious. Strong organizational skills, an ability to manage assignments with competing priorities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team are critical. Attention to detail and computer literacy (knowledge of Word, Excel, and similar tools) are important, as is the desire to learn our compliance monitoring systems, LatentZero Sentinel.

In addition to a college undergraduate degree, a minimum of 3 - 5 years work experience in the financial services industry, law, or a related area are required. Advanced degree work, including CFA designation or other professional certification would be a plus.


Job Description

The Compliance Analyst will work with portfolio managers, relationship management, operations, as well as others in Legal and Compliance and other professionals in interpreting client investment guidelines, resolving compliance issues, researching client guidelines and security issues, and analyzing both pre and post-trade compliance results.

The Compliance Analyst is aligned to support a team of portfolio managers by product and will support the Manager of Investment Compliance with implementation of guideline information for new accounts, revisions, and updates to existing accounts in a timely manner.

In addition, the Compliance Analyst will be involved in various Investment Compliance initiatives and in assisting with requests for additional compliance analysis or oversight. The Compliance Analyst will display sound business judgment in driving results and creating and implementing creative business solutions to complex compliance issues.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for determining the global BI/DW strategy and leading the technical aspects of the planning, design and delivery of SAP BI solutions, interfaces, conversions and hardware/ software oversight. Direct reports will include the BI team members. Individual will work closely with the process team leads and process owners’ council to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions deployed are in support of the business process goals and objectives across the global enterprise.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of hands-on experience using SAP's Business Warehouse in areas such as:

o Extractors for master data and transaction data, PSAs, DSOs, InfoCubes, InfoQueries, InfoSets, ABAP/4,

o BEx reporting and/or experience with Business Object tools such as Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, Explorer, Voyager.

· Experience leading BI system development for at least 3 ERP implementations.

· Strong functional and technical background with reporting and data modeling.

· Knowledge of different modules in SAP (MM, FI, SD etc) including translating requirements from these modules to BI reports.

· 3 to 5 years experience leading / managing a team of 3 to 5 individual

solid background in Virtualizaiton (vmware) and VOIP technologies.

* Extensive experience in design, maintenance and support of an Exchange infrastructure including performance, capacity, recovery technologies for DR and HA, and journaling for compliance

* Knowledge of industry best practices related to email routing, filtering, monitoring, storage, backup and disaster recovery is required

* Strong interpersonal skills and a proven record for attention to detail

* A proven ability to interact successfully with clients, and maintain open communications at all times

* Application Experience in Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, Iron Mail, Blackberry Enterprise Server, OCS 2007, Symantec Enterprise Vault

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study and 5 plus years related experience is a must.
