SAP SEM-BPS AND BCS- Configuration Analyst, 100-110k plus excellent benefits, Rhode Island

This is an upgrade project from the older 4.7 to ECC 7.0. You don't need ECC 7.0, but you do need experience upgrading 4.7 to ECC.

The key is :


·Strong knowledge and experience working in both the SEM-BCS and SEM-BPS modules in SAP’s Strategic Enterprise Management system.

·Strong understanding of Accounting concepts particularly those used to consolidate accounts and perform financial forecasts.



EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and:

· 3-5 years working with the Strategic Enterprise Management system..

· Have worked with the SAP R/3 and BW systems

· SAP certification in SEM is a plus.



DECISION MAKING:

* Ability to develop and evaluate alternative technical solutions to meet the requirements of the business.



REMARKS:

· Ability to execute task-specific project plans with minimal supervision to firm deadlines.

· Will need to give regular updates on the status of all projects that are being worked on.

· Off-hours support is required.

· Some travel may be required (10% - 15%).

Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:



A Configuration Analyst will participate in analysis, development and testing efforts in support of a wide variety of projects in SAP. A Configuration Analyst will work extensively with SAP transactions and design business processes using SAP as a base system for development. He/She will provide prompt, thorough and courteous support for clients. A Configuration Analyst should have strong knowledge of departmental procedures and standards, as well as the various technologies utilized by the department. Departmental procedures and standards must be adhered to when performing assigned tasks. A Configuration Analyst will interact extensively with the client community and therefore should possess strong oral and written communication skills.



PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Analyze client requests and design solutions based on stated requirements.
* Ability to evaluate and develop alternative technical solutions within SAP to reengineer business processes within the confines of the SAP software. Specifically for SAP’s Strategic Enterprise Management system.
* Write SAP programming specifications, in accordance with departmental standards.
* Provide production support for the Strategic Enterprise Management system where using the BCS and BPS modules..
* Coordinate configuration, development and testing efforts y IT staff and clients.
* Update procedures, operation instructions, and any other documentation impacted by programming changes.
* Support other staff members as appropriate.
* Participate in off-shift system support as necessary.
* Participate on department committees/teams within the IS department to develop various procedures/policies.

Sr. Production DBA (Oracle 11g and SQL Server 2005/2008)

Keys to this Position

1. This position is 40% Development and 60% Systems Analysis.

2. Technical Requirement: Excel and VBA are required (.NET is a strong plus). RPC Eclipse and OSGI are a plus. Sharepoint, Java and Unix are also a plus.

3. Domain Knowledge Requirement: Must have an understanding of the Investment Process, especially knowledge of Equities, (Derivatives and Market Data (i.e. FactSet) are pluses). Some indications of domain knowledge would be CFA, Financial Statement Analysis, and knowledge of alpha.
